Mexico and U.S. will maintain border closures until January
MEXICO – Mexico and the United States agreed to extend the closure of the border to non-essential travel until January 21, 2021, the Foreign Ministry reported.
“The restrictions will remain on the same terms as they have been since their implementation on March 21,” the agency said.
This measure does not affect trade between neighbors or Mexicans who have work permits in the U.S.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the decision was proposed by Mexico, this after reviewing the development of the pandemic and that several entities of the country are in orange at the traffic light of epidemiological risk.
