According to the Ministry of Economy, Mexico captured US$2 billion worth of new FDI (25.4% out of the total) during the first trimester of the year. The largest percentages of new investment were recorded in Baja California Sur (87.8%), Zacatecas (87.0%), Quintana Roo (67.6%) and Sinaloa (64.2 %). The total FDI contemplates: new investment, reinvestment of profit and accounts among companies.
