The Mexican Space Agency (AEM) signed a collaboration agreement with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to provide satellite support for agriculture and drought monitoring, and thus achieve precision agriculture, to the benefit of both nations.

"Mexican talent will be trained with the support of India, a country that, with its space technology developed in recent years, has already managed to reach the planet Mars with its Mangalyaan mission, so universities and research centers in the country will be called upon," the director explained.

The agreement was signed by Saurabh Kumar, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, who highlighted that the relationship forged by the AEM with ISRO has allowed this agreement to be stronger and focused on the social needs of both countries.

"The relationship between Mexico and India has been privileged, and in this matter it should be strategic," said Kumar, congratulating himself for promoting collaboration between the space agencies of both countries and working with Mexico, currently India's second largest trading partner in Latin America.

Meanwhile, Vallari Mahendra Gaikwad, second minister of the Economic and Commercial Area of the Embassy of India, explained that the joint project called "Precision Agriculture" to be developed with the AEM, will be beneficial for the population of both nations due to the innovation of providing satellite support to the important food and agricultural issue.
