Mexico reached record commercial surplus with Middle East

Total agri-food exports from Mexico to United Arab Emirates during the first trimester this year peaked at US$9.3 million, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA). This represent a 289% growth compared to the same period last year, while imports went up by 537% thus reaching US$145,000 in March 2017. This resulted in a historic surplus of US$9.1 million in the agri-food commercial balance with the United Arab Emirates.
