Mexico has invested US$24 million in Rusia from 2007 through 2016, an amount that has been injected by national companies, like Binbit, Gruma, Katcon, Kidzania, Mexichem and Nemak. “We reached a historic peak of Russian investment in Mexico during the first three trimesters of  2017, with US$10.4 million. This figure multiplied fivefold from the 2016 record, as it added up to US$1.9 million. This growth is proof of the strategic importance this bilateral relation holds, as well as the business opportunities both in Mexico and Russia”, declared Paulo Carreño King, General Director of ProMexico. Just in 2016, both countries reached a record US$1.48 million commercial exchange. Out of the total Mexico exports to Rusia, 33% were from auto parts, 7% from pressure engines, 6% from construction equipment and 5% from mobile telephones, among others.
