Mexico’s Aerospace Summit 2019: an absolute success

Recently, important personalities from the aerospace industry got together at the Queretaro Congress Center in order to attend the Mexico's Aerospace Summit 2019; participants had the opportunity to hear from experts about the current scenario for the aerospace industry and what’s coming for this sector in the next few years.

Around 2,600 B2B meetings were carried out and attendees were able to visit facilities such as Safran, Bombardier, UNAQ, GEIQ and Airbus. Donna Hrinak, president of Boeing Latin America, Francisco Mendieta, general director of the Mexican Space Agency (AEM), Jorge Gutierrez, director of the Aeronautics University in Queretaro (UNAQ) and Felipe Sandoval, president of FEMIA were some of the speakers that talked about the opportunities that the Mexico's aerospace industry value chain has to offer.

For his part, Mr. Sandoval stated that within the next three to five years, Mexico will become one of the 10 most important nations within the global aerospace industry. In addition, he stressed that the Mexican aerospace industry has developed with tremendous dynamism, registering a growth of 14% in the last 15 years.

It is important to mention that this year, the Mexico’s Aerospace Summit was reinforced with a 10% growth in the flow of visitors and participating companies.
