Mexico seeks to rank tenth in the World's Aerospace Industry by 2020, based on the international interest of investing in this sector. The President of the Aerospace Fair 2017, Rodolfo Rodriguez Quezada, assured: "Mexico became one of the main countries in FDI attraction within the Aerospace Industry". He stated that the sector has had an important annual growth in Mexico since 2007, going from 80 companies in that year to more than 300 in 2016". Meanwhile, exports of this industry went from US$3 billion in 2008 to near US$7.2 billion in 2015, and according to the Ministry of Economy, that figure could raise to more than US$12 billion by 2020. This growth will allow Mexico to move from the position 14th to the 10th by 2020, worldwide. On the other hand, it is expected that more than 110,000 jobs will be created on this sector, by 2020 also.
