Mexsteel Opco opens US$ 43 million plant in Coahuila

Mexsteel Opco inaugurated its production facility in Acuna, Coahuila, where the company invested US$ 43 million and recruited 130 workers to manufacture gas and oil storage tanks.

The company is a subsidiary of Doerfer Companies, a US-based supplier of manufacturing solutions for multiple divisions with 10 plants worldwide. 

Mexsteel is not only Doerfer’s first facility in Mexico, but also the company’s first dedicated to manufacture storage tanks.

According to company officials, the plant currently operates at 25% of its total planned capacity.
