Michelin celebrates 5th anniversary in Guanajuato
LEON, GTO - Michelin celebrates its 5th anniversary in Guanajuato with the production of the 10 millionth tire at its León plant. The company stands out as key to the region's economic growth and reaffirms its commitment to innovation.
The plant, inaugurated in 2018 with the laying of the first stone in 2016, has been a key pillar in Guanajuato's economic growth, generating more than 1,000 direct jobs in its initial production phase.
State Governor Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo praised Michelin's commitment to innovation and development, underscoring the importance of the shared vision between the company and the state.
The governor expressed his gratitude for Michelin's confidence in Guanajuato's strengths and reaffirmed the continued support of the state government.
Michelin, recognized as a global leader in tire production, has contributed significantly to the economic growth of Guanajuato, consolidating it as the fifth largest economy in the country.
The plant, with an investment of more than US$1 billion, has demonstrated excellence in safety and quality, backed by the daily efforts of approximately 2,000 employees.
