Mitsubishi Motors de Mexico closes September with record sales

MEXICO – Mitsubishi Motors de México released its September sales results, highlighting a +25% growth compared to September 2021 and +61% vs. the previous month, making it the second fastest growing brand month-over-month.

Despite the challenges facing the industry, the brand reported an increase of +27% in the January-September cumulative period vs. the same period of the previous year and a share of 2.6%.

The L200 pickup recorded the best sales month in the history of the brand in the country, representing 67% of total sales of Mitsubishi Motors with the versions currently marketed in Mexico.

Likewise, Xpander and Xpander Cross accounted for 27% of the brand's total sales, which represents the best sales month since its launch in July 2021. It is worth mentioning that thanks to this model, Mexico has positioned itself as the #1 in sales outside the ASEAN region.

For its part, Mitsubishi Motors Financial Services reached 40% of total sales in the market, where it also processed +20% in credit applications vs 2021. The brand's financier also recorded +22% in contracts vs. 2021 and +45% to the previous month of the current year.

Mitsubishi Motors continues to develop the Consolidation Together plan in this fiscal year to meet the sales target of more than 22 thousand units, in addition to expanding its commercial offering.
