More Korean firms arriving to Nuevo Leon

Investment projects from Korea with value ranking from US$500 to US$600 million are expected to arrive in Nuevo Leon during 2017, informed Samuel Peña Guzman, Sub Secretary of Industry and Commerce from the Ministry of Economy and Labor (SEyT). This represents the arrival of at least 12 firms which shall create over 500 direct jobs in the State. There are currently 138 projects by Korean firms that are currently operating in Nuevo Leon, plus another 38 in the portfolio. 16 Korean projects arrived in the State just during this year, mostly form Kia suppliers, said Mr. Peña Guzman. State government officers and local companies expect to carry out a work tour through Korea during the first trimester of 2017, to visit the plants of those companies that are becoming established in Nuevo Leon.
