NASA film festival to be presented at the Cineteca Nacional

MEXICO CITY — The Mexican Space Agency (AEM) announced that the National Cineteca of Mexico will be the next venue for the international short film festival “CineSpace” organized by NASA and the Houston Film Society.

The “Cinespace” festival, to be held on August 25, brings together space-themed short films made by people from all over the world with audiovisual material generated by NASA in its numerous missions, and where Mexicans Elena Franco and Alex Moreno were winners in the 2017 and 2018 editions, respectively.

The general director of the AEM, Dr. Javier Mendieta Jiménez, highlighted the performance of Mexicans in said contest, who according to the executive have demonstrated talent and creativity.

On the other hand, the coordinator of Human Capital Formation of the AEM, Carlos Duarte, stated that the enthusiasm of Mexican youth is unstoppable and it has evolved into a movement that is taking place in several states of the country.
