Negotiation between China and Latin America going smoothly

China has a strategic focus on Latin America, having allotted foreign direct investment worth over US$110 billion since 2003, with Brazil, Peru and Mexico as primary receptors. According to experts, this negotiation is moving smoothly while not considering the U.S. The aspect of the relation is changing with growing participation in different sectors such as mining, telecommunications, electronics, automotive industry, renewable energies and financial sector, expressed Angel Melguizo, head of the Latin America and Caribbean Unit of the OECD Center.
