NEO Tech, a California-based provider of manufacturing technology and supply chain solutions for the industrial, medical and aerospace and defense markets, announced that one of its manufacturing programs allocated in Mexico has earned a Silver Award for Most Innovative Service of the Year in the 2017 One Planet Best in Business and Professional Excellence Awards Program.

The One Planet Awards recognize companies for their business and professional excellence in every industry. Organizations from around the world are eligible to submit nominations including public and private, for-profit and non-profit, largest to smallest and new startups. Those that are the most innovative and that have significant impact on business are chosen as winners by a panel of judges.

NEO Tech earned its Most Innovative Service of the Year award based on its “innovative, collaborative efforts with a customer delivering product commercialization services that made a significant contribution to the advancement of technology”, said the company in a statement.

The One Planet award team reviewed the experience of a medical device manufacturer who chose NEO Tech as their commercialization partner, assisting them in the design and market launch of an innovative new therapeutic treatment device.

The NEO Tech solution fit the bill and used its integrated medical device design and manufacturing expertise to reduce risk and accelerate time-to-market. “NEO Tech’s team showed creative, efficient and inspiring project management capabilities,” the company added.

The partnership with NEO Tech enabled the manufacturer to successfully launch from concept to commercial volume production in two years with reduced product design iterations. NEO Tech’s design and engineering service team operate as a “seamless extension of its customers’ engineering organizations, adding scale, flexibility and speed to their design process,” according to the statement.

The service solution included electrical and mechanical product design, prototypes for engineering trials, turnkey supply chain and sourcing and new product introduction into a production location in a nearshore manufacturing site in Mexico (it wouldn’t say which), a true end-to-end set of integrated product commercialization services.

NEO Tech offers full product lifecycle engineering services, manufacturing and testing of microelectronics, cable and harness interconnect products, PCBA, full box build services and aftermarket repair and fulfillment services. The company operates four manufacturing facilities in Mexico, two are located in Tijuana, Baja California and the other two in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.
