Nestle will use Mexican maize and wheat

Nestle signed an agreement with the International Center for Maize and Wheat Improvement (CIMMYT) to satisfy 100% of its demand with grain produced in Mexico in a sustainable way by 2022. The products made with the Mexican maize and wheat after this new agreement, will be used to cover the Company's demand in Mexico; additionally, some of these articles will be exported to other countries. The Company issued a press release to to announce the creation of the Maize for Mexico Plan, a program designed to support the development of agricultural producers in the country, primarily Bajio area.
