New Ecosystem Developed by Index Nuevo León
INDEX Nuevo León has developed a new commercial validation ecosystem that will audit and connect suppliers with manufacturing companies, with the goal of reducing prospecting time, eliminating operational uncertainty, and facilitating the integration of SMEs into the export industry.
Backed by a methodology registered with the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), the tool functions as an active digital record that analyzes the strength of suppliers across four technical areas: quality, logistics, services, and finance.
The evaluation model is based on the need to have verified data before beginning any labor negotiations. In defining the scope of the methodology, Javier Purata, Supplier Development Coordinator at Index Nuevo León, emphasized that the platform does not intend to compete with or replace international regulatory certifications such as ISO or IATF, but rather to audit companies’ day-to-day performance and legal compliance.
“We know that buying companies need to find reliable suppliers, while suppliers need real opportunities. After analyzing the market, we developed a methodology based on our four pillars to determine—using legal, tax, and operational documentation as daily evidence—whether a supplier is truly qualified and trustworthy in its day-to-day operations,” he explained.
Teo Hernández, head of Index Supplier Development, explained that the modules designed to digitize all interactions between buyers and sellers, and described how this ecosystem enhances the visibility of local businesses: SMEs that pass the evaluation will receive the Trusted Supplier Seal / PROCIM Certification, an active digital validation that demonstrates their actual capabilities and infrastructure, placing them in a priority position with the procurement departments of large industries.
“Suppliers are the lifeblood of PROCIM. Our goal is to raise their commercial profile, allowing them to showcase their structure, installed capacity, and legal and tax compliance with complete transparency to provide certainty to purchasing companies,” he emphasized.
