New Mexico City airport, among the top three in the world

The new Mexico City international airport is going to be ranked number three in the world by number of passengers served, as it might transport up to 120 million people and 2 million tons of cargo each year. During its first stage, the airport could handle 70 million passengers per year, which means double the current airport’s capacity. Nevertheless, once the project is completed, the capacity for passenger and cargo transport is going to be further escalated.  The construction of the new airport would open 45,000 job positions initially, but it might employ up to 450,000 people upon reaching its maximum operation.
