New X-ray machines installed at the AICM

MEXICO CITY - Work continues on the replacement of X-ray machines at Mexico City's International Airport (AICM), informed the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR).

Through a press release, the agency stated that a total of 63 new X-ray machines are expected to be installed.

As will be recalled, this process of replacing the X-ray machines at the Passenger Inspection Points (PIP) of both terminals of this airport began on September 4.

The agency said that, to date, 29 X-ray machines have been installed in Terminal 1 (T1), and the process continues in Terminal 2 (T2).

"We regret the inconvenience that these replacement works may cause; however, they are carried out trying to cause the least possible inconvenience to passengers and users," said SEMAR.

It indicated that this activity is expected to be completed by December 15, in order to improve safety and quality of service for the people who use the PIPs of this air terminal on a daily basis.
