Nextflix will invest US$200 million in Mexico

MEXICO CITY — Next year Netflix will invest around US$200 million  in Mexico to generate series and films, said Red Hastings, co-creator of Netflix and director of the division for Latin America He stated that Netflix is investing a good amount of money in many countries, "but in particular in Mexico, we are investing around US$200 million in order to generate content", which will not only be seen in the country, but around the world. Hastings compared the manufacturing industry with the creative one, and stressed that while the first one establishes schedules, the creative industry is able to develop ideas with freedom in terms of time.
