NIDEC invests US$23 million in Tamaulipas

TAMAULIPAS - Japan's leading tier 1 alternator manufacturer, NIDEC, has announced an investment of US$23 million for the expansion of its operations in Reynosa. This effort is the result of a collaboration between the Government of Tamaulipas and the industrial sector.

The governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal Anaya, highlighted that this investment will strengthen NIDEC's production capabilities and thanked the company for trusting in local talent.

Américo Villarreal Anaya pointed out that NIDEC's expansion will not only boost the manufacturing sector, but will also generate 384 high-quality jobs, benefiting the local economy and improving the quality of life of Tamaulipas families.

"The technological development and innovation of the new plant will significantly boost the industrial dynamism of Tamaulipas," said the president.

Ninfa Cantú Deándar, Secretary of Economy, stressed that NIDEC's investment reaffirms international confidence in the strength of Tamaulipas as a competitive destination for high-level industrial projects.

According to Cantú Deándar, this project not only implies an expansion in infrastructure, but also reflects the state's competitiveness in the industrial field.

‘This project not only represents an expansion in terms of infrastructure, but it is also a clear sign that the state is a competitive destination for high-level industrial projects,’ she said.
