Ninfa Cantú appointed coordinator of AMSDE in Northwest Region
TAMAULIPAS - The Secretary of Economy of Tamaulipas, Ninfa Cantú Deándar was appointed by the Mexican Association of Secretaries of Economic Development as coordinator of the Northeast Region of the country of this organization.
The Northeast Region, made up of Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León, Sinaloa and Tamaulipas, plays a strategic role in the national and international economic panorama, particularly in the current context characterized by the nearshoring boom.
Cantú Deándar said that this designation recognizes the vision of strengthening regional collaboration and detonating joint initiatives that promote competitiveness, industrial development and investment attraction with a focus on shared prosperity.
“It is an honor to assume this responsibility at a crucial time for our region. From this coordination, we will promote comprehensive projects that strengthen connectivity, infrastructure and economic development in our states, ensuring equitable and sustainable growth,” said Cantú Deándar.
The appointment was made during the ordinary session of the AMSDE where a meeting was held with the Secretary of Economy of the federal government, Marcelo Ebrard.
The AMSDE, as an organization that brings together the Secretaries of Economic Development of Mexico's states, will continue to be a key space for the design and execution of public policies that boost the country's competitiveness, with Tamaulipas now leading the regional efforts in the northeast.
