MEXICO — Nissan Mexicana and BMW Group Mexico celebrate the installation of the number 500 charging station of their joint network in Mexico. Since the beginning of their partnership in 2015, the companies have made an investment of US$5 million, which represents a great achievement for the pioneering brands of electric mobility in the Mexican territory.
The alliance between Nissan Mexicana and BMW Group Mexico was signed in 2015 with the aim of promoting the development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.
Both companies have made efforts to position themselves as pioneers in electric mobility in Mexico through various initiatives for the development of emissions-free driving.
The presence of plug-in electric and hybrid cars is a reality in Mexico; Nissan and BMW Group are committed to working on projects that promote the growth of this segment by offering technological, innovative and environmentally friendly products to the market.
Customers of the Nissan and BMW Group vehicles can load in all the agencies of the Distributor Network of both brands, as well as in any of the stations placed in cooperation with key partners at a national level. It is important to mention that the use of these charging stations is free of charge and they are multiplatform (adaptable to hybrid or electric vehicles of the Nissan and BMW Group brands); these stations are also located at strategic points such as shopping centers, universities and restaurants.
