Nissan starts production of the new Nissan Kicks 2025
AGUASCALIENTES - Nissan Mexicana kicked off production in Aguascalientes of a crossover for the Latin American market.
The model is the new Nissan Kicks 2025, and with the first unit leaving the assembly line, the company also celebrated the milestone of reaching 16 million cars manufactured in Mexico.
“In this new chapter of our history we prove our ability to lead with vision and to continue contributing, with disruptive and innovative proposals, to the mobility of Mexico and the world,” said Rodrigo Centeno, president and CEO of Nissan Mexicana.
At the celebration at the Aguascalientes 1 complex, in front of the first finished unit of the Kicks 2025, the executive also highlighted that the start of this production, and the achievement of 16 million units assembled in Mexico, are two milestones that demonstrate the talent and strength of the team that the automaker has in the country.
In 2022, Nissan announced that it would make an investment of US$36.4 million for the production of this new model.
With the resources, the company acquired equipment for the casting, machining and assembly processes.
