++monterrey++ Ryerson will operate a plant in Monterrey
Monterrey, Mexico.- Ryerson, leading steel distributor and processor in the USA, will open a service center in Monterrey.The new service center, which will start operating next August 30, has a 5 thousand square meters (53,819 square feet) surface, according to a press release issued by the company yesterday.
When Platinum Equity Investment Fund purchased Ryerson in 2008, the company started serving the Mexican market independently. The press release does not mention the exact location of the plant, nor the investment made by this US company.
