++slp++ TI Automotive invests US$10 million in a new plant

San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi,- TI Automotive, a US-capital firm, invested US$10 million here to open a fuel tanks production plant, which was inaugurated last Thursday.

The State Government informed that this factory is the first the company installs in Mexico, and will produce blown-molded plastic fuel tank systems, which are light and with low polluting emissions for Nissan Micra, Note and Versa vehicles.

The establishment of this manufacturing plant represented a US$10 million investment in the first stage and there are plans for a second stage within five years, for a total US$30 million investment.

The land where the new facilities are located has 7,800 square meters (almost 84,000 square feet) in surface, where 200 people will be employed.
