++soriana++ Soriana gets credit for Aeolian Park

Monterrey.- Soriana, the self-service retailers chain, announced they received a credit for US$51 million to build an Aeolian Energy Plant in Tamaulipas, a project where US$130 million will be invested.
The Park will be built in Ejido El Porvernir, Reynosa, Tamaulipas.

Soriana incorporated, together with GEMEX and ECOS Group investment, a subsidiary named Compañía Eolica de Tamaulipas, which received a credit from North American Development Bank (NADB) and Banorte, Soriana informed in a press release sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV).

The Aeolian Park, which construction is expected to start in the first quarter of this year, will consist of 30 wind turbines with 1.8 megawatts capacity each, to supply “green” energy to 163 of the more than 600 stores the chain operates in Mexico.

Soriana announced their plans to build 5 Aeolian Energy plants throughout Mexico, investing around US$600 million within the next four years, all of them to supply their stores in Mexico.
