Nuevo Laredo takes off with 30% more passengers
NUEVO LAREDO — The Nuevo Laredo International Airport reported an increase of 32.3% regarding the transfer of passengers during the month of January compared to the same period during 2018, moving from 4,642 to 6,142 passengers, reported Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares (ASA).
As well, the parastatal mentioned that there was an increase in the figures for cargo handling in the terminal of Tamaulipas. While during January 2018 8,211 kilograms of merchandise were transferred, in the current year 13,773 kilograms were recorded, which translates into a 67.7% growth.
It should be noted that, in December of last year, Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional and Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC) granted, for the third time, the Certificate of Conformity in matters of Operational Safety to this air terminal.
It is expected that with the obtaining of this third certificate, the DGAC will issue a third “Public Service Civil Aerodrome Certificate” valid until 2022 for the border airport.
