Nuevo Leon expected to grow the industrial sector

Nuevo Leon’s industrial sector is projected to grow by 4% in 2026 and create up to 27,000 new jobs, while the manufacturing sector shows signs of recovery, according to the Chamber of the Transformation Industry (CAINTRA).

The state’s manufacturing sector generated more than 17,000 jobs between January and March 2026, representing a 45% increase compared to the same period the previous year.

The organization highlighted that, in addition to volume, the jobs created in the state are distinguished by their quality, with an average salary 15% higher than the national average, based on figures from the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).

CAINTRA proposed strengthening support in three key areas to consolidate the sector’s growth: first, it highlighted the importance of facilitating worker mobility through more transportation routes to industrial zones, especially for SMEs that do not have their own transportation systems.

Additionally, it called for reducing the regulatory and administrative burden on companies through measures such as digitizing procedures, streamlining processes, and simplifying inspections.
The organization’s president emphasized that collaboration between authorities and the private sector will be crucial for consolidating job creation and sustaining industrial growth in Nuevo Leon.
