Nuevo León Reports More Than US$135 Billion in Investment
During the Nuevo León Informa event, the state government reported more than US$135 billion in new domestic and foreign investment, making the region the top destination for attracting capital.
It has been noted that the cumulative investment amount exceeds US$135 billion, and the target for the Fifth Report is scheduled for October, when it is expected to reach US$150 billion in investments. According to the report, the amount by that time would represent 14 times the current level of foreign investment.
The growth in investment is linked to the arrival and expansion of companies in the state. According to the information, the projects involve activities such as land acquisition, property tax payments, and construction, as well as demand for construction materials. Another indicator has been the absence of strikes in Nuevo León.
It is worth noting that the factors companies consider when defining their investment strategies in the state include security, water availability, roads, logistics, and electricity. As a result, manufacturing and labor indicators have positioned Nuevo León as one of the country’s leading production hubs. It accounts for 12.7% of the national manufacturing GDP, 682,000 formal manufacturing jobs, and 401,000 INMEX jobs.
The entity hopes to maintain its pace of attracting capital and reach US$150 billion in investments, while consolidating its position as the national leader in several sectors. The goal is to reach October with a cumulative total of US$150 billion, while various data points place the state in first place nationally in terms of productive activity.
