OnStar goes digital & launches online platform

OnStar, General Motors’ connectivity, safety, and emergency service, continues to evolve the way users interact with their vehicles’ connected services, strengthening its digital ecosystem with new platforms and enhanced features to deliver a more integrated, intuitive, and accessible experience.

Today, the brand takes a new step forward by evolving its digital platforms, introducing improvements focused on the user experience, such as the launch of the first online store for connected services by an automaker in Mexico, a revamped mobile app, and unified access to user information across GM brands’ digital platforms.

Its online store will allow customers to sign up for or renew any of the available OnStar packages online, as well as purchase data plans.

GM vehicle owners will be able to access general information about their vehicle account from any of the Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac brand websites, as well as through the mobile app and the OnStar website.

With these innovations, the platform remains at the forefront and establishes itself as a high-value differentiator in the market; if users have any questions about using these new features, they can press the blue button in their vehicle so that, as always, an expert OnStar advisor can provide the necessary support.
