Kashi, a brand of organic energy bars and cereals Kellogg's originally from the US, recorded its first million dollars in Mexico sales as of June 2017 one year after having entered the Country, despite its prices doubling those of traditional products. The average price of a Kashi cereal box is 79.90 pesos with a 300 or 400 grams presentation, compared to a regular cereal box, which costs 40 pesos. “Products labeled organic are regularly priced 70% more expensive than those without this name. However, we see great potential in the organic products market, with an 11% annual growth rate in Mexico, as we are offering a higher nutritional level”, said Jose Luis Dorantes, brand manager of Kashi in Mexico.
