Throughout 2018, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Premium Restaurant Brands (PRB), and its franchisees have invested US$24 million to open up a total of 36 new restaurants in Mexico.

Artemio Santos, General Manager of KFC Mexico, said that these openings would allow the company to reach a total of 387 restaurants in the country. He added that at least 10 new restaurants will be located in Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, and Tamaulipas.

Each current establishment showed a 10 percent growth compared to last year. Santos said that the investment per unit is averaging at around US$246.09 million, and highlighted that each KFC that operates in Mexico generates at least 30 direct and 90 indirect jobs.
