Wisconsin-based reaction injection molder Premold Corp. has started manufacturing in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, the company announced. Lucas Boettcher, Regional Manager, said that the operation’s business potential is “vast,” and that they are starting with their more labor-intensive secondary operations. He commented that they will eventually expand into molding. They primarily manufacture high-cosmetic molded plastic enclosures for specialty equipment. President Ken Schweitz said: “Our Monterrey factory will allow us to produce lower cost parts with the same quality and delivery for our customers,” underscoring the “logistical advantages” for customers in Mexico, Central and South America. Premold makes plastics housings, bezels and enclosures for specialty equipment and the life sciences customers, and is “North America’s most advanced RIM supplier for specialty equipment,” Schweitz said.
