Prent Corp., a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of packaging solutions for the medical and electronics sectors, announced is building a 45,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico.
The company’s eleventh facility worldwide, first in Mexico, will be a world class, ISO 9001-certified, manufacturing center with a Class 7 clean room. It will be operational in the fourth quarter of 2018, the company said in a statement.
"The addition of our 11th manufacturing facility is a key strategic initiative for the company. As we look to the next 50 years, our goal is to continue to innovate, to grow and to evolve to meet the new and emerging needs of the customers we have the privilege of serving today and into the future," said President and CEO Joe Pregont in the statement.
The investment amount and the number of jobs to be opened in the new plant were not disclosed by Prent.
