Germany-based Schuler Group, the world's largest manufacturer of presses and other metal forming technologies, announced it has opened a third service location in Queretaro, central Mexico, as part of the strategy to expand its presence in North America.

The company already operates sales and maintenance facilities in the cities of Saltillo, Coahuila and Puebla, in the state of the same name.

“Queretaro is one of Mexico’s fastest growing regions with customers from different industries including automotive companies and their suppliers offering strong business potential for Schuler. This is why the company has opened its third site in the country, located half way between Puebla in the South and Saltillo in the North,” said the company in a statement.

“An initial staff of five Service technicians and Service sales in close proximity to our customers will help expand existing business relationships and forge new ones”, said Schuler Mexico CEO Carlos Valdés.

Part of the premises is also a show room for live customer demonstrations, featuring a BLISS stamping press paired with a coil feed system.
