Private sector and Government, strengthening Mexico’s automotive sector

The Ministry of Economy (SE) and the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry (AMIA) had an agreement to increase the productivity and competitiveness in this sector, thus enhancing the strengthening of production chains in North America. The SE, under Ildefonso Guajardo's direction, had a meeting with the AMIA directive council, in order to discuss the challenges the industry automotive has to overcome in the face of the current situation in Mexico and the world. Mr. Guajardo Villarreal underscored that investment in the automotive sector benefits Mexico, the U.S. and Canada, thanks to the existing integration in production processes, making North America one of the most attractive regions to invest.
