Production of heavy vehicles increased 14.5% in November; exports hiked 40%

Last November, production of heavy vehicles in Mexico reached a total of 12,267 units, which represented a growth of 14.5% compared to the 10,709 trucks and buses built in the same month of 2016, according to the latest figures of the National Association of Producers of Buses, Trucks and Tractor Trucks (ANPACT).Â
Exports of heavy vehicles reached a total of 9,609 units, which reflects an increase of 40.5% when compared to those exported in the same month of 2016.
Regarding year-to-date figures, ANPACT said that, during the first eleven months of last year, 141,472 units were produced, a figure that compared to the 139,421 vehicles produced during the same period of 2016, represents an increase of 1.5%.
Likewise, the year-to-date figures for exports show an increase of 7.0% when adding a total of 105,516 units, compared to 98,597 vehicles exported during the first eleven months of 2016.
