Prospects of 12% growth in Guanajuato’s auto parts sector

The production in Guanajuato's auto part sector will have growth rates of up to 12% in 2017, due to the continuous increase in the demand in this industry, estimated Alfredo Arzola, Director of the Automotive Cluster in Guanajuato. Mr. Arzola highlighted the advance of the automotive industry in the State, with vehicle production totaling 817,000 units and auto part exportation valued at US$17 billion during 2016. With Toyota starting operations in the State and the investment plans from other companies, exportation is estimated to reach US$25 billion per year by 2020.
