Prysmian Group has new plant in Durango

Prysmian Group, provider of cable systems for vehicles, airplanes and telecommunication services, inaugurated a plant in Durango to serve telecommunication companies in Mexico and Latin America. Paulo Carreño King, General Director of ProMexico, said that the US$15 million investment, which will be exercised in this initial stage, represents a great boost for the economy, due to the creation of over 400 jobs. Jaouad Ben-Hamman, General Director of Prysmian Mexico, explained that the intention is to reach the telecommunications sector, and the new plant will only manufacture optic cables.
