Puebla launches energy plan and expects the arrival of a US$2 billion investment

PUEBLA — The Puebla government just announced an energy strategy, with which it expects to attract investments that amount to US$2 billion for the next five years.

This strategy includes the creation of an energy agency, a fund and a trust for the development of said projects.

The government of Luis Miguel Barbosa expects that the majority of total investments will be focused on power generation projects, for just over US$ 1.5 billion. The rest will be allocated for infrastructure related to natural gas, expecting US$ 415 million of investment.

In addition, US$52 million will be allocated for projects related to oil logistics.
