Queretaro’s Aeronautical Cluster, the most important in Mexico

Queretaro's aeronautic sector could become the most important one in Mexico, with over 8,000 jobs generated this year and FDI worth over US$3 billion in the first trimester of 2015. In addition, Queretaro has become a preferential point for national and foreign investors, as it has a wide variety of possibilities for infrastructure linked to the aerospace industry, competitive advantages, etc. According to reports from the last 10 years, the State has achieved a 17% sustained annual growth. 45% of foreign investment stays within this sector, thus consolidating Queretaro as an economic leader. According to the Labor Ministry Delegation, Queretaro is the first FDI recipient for aerospace sector with 47.9% of national foreign investment for this sector; Baja California is the second, with 12.9% and Chihuahua is third, with 11.2%.
