Queretaro's Intercontinental Airport (AIQ) has gained a position as the second fastest-growing provider of cargo services in the Country: there was a 16% upturn in business just during 2015, compared to the prior year, according to Marco del Prete Tercero, Secretary of Sustainable Development (Sedesu). Queretaro is topped by Guadalajara and followed by Tijuana, and these are the three places in Mexico where the airborne transportation business is growing the most. Queretaro is spearhead in foreign trade, bringing forth a major competitive advantage due to its logistics infrastructure that puts this State "in the market". "The transportation sector generates 20 thousand jobs and had a 10% expansion last year. Regarding cargo transportation, AIQ is one of the three fastest-growing airports. These operations are complemented with fright services in our six high-quality multi-modal terminals with full capacity to complete the logistics' value chain", he added.
