Queretaro’s automotive investments tripled in 2016

Foreign direct investment related to the automotive sector more than tripled during 2016 in Queretaro, from US$ 89.9 million US$ 293.5 million, revealed state authorities.

According to Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, secretary of Sustaintable Development in Queretaro, automotive production is expected to increase from US$ 65 billion in 2016 to US$ 75 billion in 2017.

Several projects from companies such as Hirschvogel, Bosch and Brose will be consolidated this year, consolidating efforts to increase the automotive footprint in Queretaro, said del Prete during a conference.
