Queretaro will start 2022 with 50 investment projects
QUERETARO – The portfolio of projects that are planning to be installed in the state is made up of 50 projects that would total investments of US$3.856 million.
“Most are new investments and expansions of firms already installed in the state,” explained the minister of Sustainable Development (Sedesu), Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero.
"We are working very hard, they are very interesting projects that I hope to present next year," he said.
The state agency reports that this year alone, 32 investment projects for US$15 million were closed, as well as 11,207 jobs.
The automotive industry was the main investment niche, contributing with nine of the 32 materialized investments, followed by the food and beverage industry with six projects.
The home appliance, information technology and services industries accounted for 4 projects, respectively; three in research and development, two in the aeronautics industry and four more in other sectors.
Of the projects reported by the Secretariat as completed, 12 were of U.S. origin, followed by eight projects of Mexican capital, three from Korea and two from Germany. In addition to works from China, Canada, Ecuador, France, Hong Kong, Japan and Switzerland, with one.
"Investment projects have arrived because of what the state offers, it offers certainty, it offers competitiveness, it offers an adequate business environment, it offers trained personnel ", he said.
