MEXICO — Bimbo reported positive sales for the third consecutive year. The company attributes this performance to its Mexican and North American operations and its recent acquisitions. In 2018, the company's revenues increased 7.8% to US$ 15 billion. The operating flow of 2018, (Ebitda) grew16.2%, reaching US$ 1.6 billion and the majority net income increased 25.4% to US$303 million.
"We closed the year breaking records in net sales, gross profit, operating income and Adjusted Ebitda, positioning ourselves as a company with greater firmness and efficiency, which will continue to create value and serve our consumers," explained Daniel Sertvije, director of Bimbo.
The various acquisitions the company has made in recent years, as well as the constant organic growth in Mexico, have stimulated the company to maintain positive net sales in the last three years. In June 2018, the company acquired Mankattan China and at the end of last year acquired the Nutra Bien bakery in Chile.
