Regional Airlines will benefit from Bilateral Agreement

Rodrigo Vasquez Colmenares, CEO of TAR, said that if the Bilateral Agreement with the United States is ratified, all airlines will benefit from specific opportunities in secondary airports. Vasquez Colmenares said that there are many opportunities for new, direct regional connectivity all over Mexico, such as in the states of Quintana Roo, Yucatan and Chiapas, which have no direct flights to Central America, in spite of their geographic proximity and close trading relationship. The executive said that they are already in negotiations with many secondary airports in the U.S. to plan new strategies and look for new markets, such as the southern U.S.
