Rogelio Arzate is the new Executive President of ANPACT
MEXICO - Rogelio Arzate took office as Executive President of the National Association of Bus, Truck and Tractor-Truck Producers (ANPACT) on July 1, and during his official presentation he shared his work agenda to continue promoting the trucking sector.
"The management that I am starting in ANPACT coincides with a very important stage in Mexico: Nearshoring, which is transcendental for our country; the arrival of new investments to Mexico will be fundamental, not only for our country, but also for North America. Undoubtedly, this brings new energy to the sector," he said.
In addition, he highlighted that his administration also coincides with the beginning of a new period in the Federal Government and in some state governments.
"I mention this because it is important for our associates who have representation in some Mexican entities and obviously with them we will be building a very productive relationship. What we seek is to be functional for the benefit of the industry and obviously for the benefit of society," he said.
While there are opportunities for the heavy industry, Rogelio Arzate also highlighted that there are pending tasks.
"In the sector we obviously face some important challenges, among them the renewal of the fleet, it is very important that we start working on a new fleet, since the current fleet has an average of 19 years and we want those years to be reduced and not only that, but to be renewed with high-tech vehicles, with better emissions and better safety," the president added.
Another of the fronts on which the new ANPACT Executive President will work will be to improve the quality of public transportation because this brings benefits to everyone, society and the environment.
