Russian aircraft sales increasing in Mexico

Both the Russian government and corporations are actively promoting more aircraft sales in Mexico, a market where new contracts are expected to surge as the result of an upcoming commercial mission this year. Mexican corporation Interjet already has 22 Russian inter-regional Sukhoi Superjet 100 airplanes, a passenger transport aircraft with capacity between 68 and 103 seats. The Mexican Navy, on the other hand, operates around 40 Russian helicopters, and last May, Russian Firm Rosoboronexport announced that Mexico is planning to buy another lot of Mi-17 military helicopters from Russia.
