S-PARK Innovation and Technological Development Park begins operations in Chihuahua

CHIHUAHUA - The governor of Chihuahua, María Eugenia Campos, led the start of operations of the S-PARK Innovation and Technological Development Park, a space designed to promote the growth of local and international companies.
The state governor put into operation the Alpha building, built with an investment of US$4.9 million, with resources from the state government, a building that has the ideal environment for the exchange of knowledge.
She affirmed that her administration has sought, since its inception, to provide more and better opportunities to citizens, for which it is necessary to generate the right conditions for growth and recover projects abandoned by past administrations.
“S-PARK will be an incubator for new investments, so that international companies interested in the technological potential of our state, come and confirm that in Chihuahua we have the talent and capacity to host high-value industries,” she emphasized.
Campos highlighted that Chihuahua is a key player in chip manufacturing in North America and participates in the semiconductor route, made up of the cities of Juarez, Phoenix, Arizona, and Austin, Texas, in addition to being a national leader in the generation of electronics.
She indicated that this is proof that the entity has highly qualified personnel for the manufacture of advanced technology and high-tech components, so S-PARK will function as an incubator for new investments.
“With this, we must send the message that we are a land of talent, of capacity and that we have everything we need to continue being a key player in the industry,” the governor concluded.
For his part, Sergio Mendoza, president of S-PARK's Board of Directors, thanked the governor for her support in making the park's start-up a reality, which is the beginning of an effort to strengthen an industrial community.
He added that, through this project, small companies and young entrepreneurs from Chihuahua will be encouraged to learn about technology, but also to learn about the processes of the larger companies that will be housed in these facilities.
According to local information, from August 2023 to November 2024, through the Promotora para el Desarrollo Económico del Estado de Chihuahua (Prodech), the project to equip the building was concluded, which marked the first phase of this innovation complex, which consists of 1.8 hectares of the 7 total projected.
The space can accommodate up to 450 users in its interior, in areas that have everything necessary for quick installation and start-up of the required activities, with four laboratories, a common dining room, mezzanine, engineering offices, and co-working spaces, among other amenities.
