Samsung discontinues production in Mexico

Samsung is planning to expand their production plants in the U.S. and is relocating part of its Mexico manufacturing operations to the Northern Country. The initial investment is expected to reach US$300 million. Likewise, Samsung has plans to move part of its production of oven plates from Mexico to the US. At least five States in the U.S. are currently in talks with Samsung, with prospects of 500 new jobs to be created. Reuters reported last month that Samsung might be building a plant in the U.S. for their home appliances business.
